Abstract	Large scale open source software (OSS) projects offer a wide range of documentation of the software processes that have enabled their success. Discovering these processes has been shown to be difficult to achieve. This paper describes our experiences with providing computer support for discovering OSS processes from project data. We discuss challenges of collecting and analyzing data from multiple types of project artifacts and how to address them.
