OSS 2014 Call for Papers

The 10th International Conference on Open Source Systems will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica. May 6-9, 2014.

The International Conference on Open Source Systems (OSS) is the premier conference to present research results related to open source initiatives, extending beyond software to include Open innovation, Open access, Open data, Open standards, Open education, Open science, Open cloud, Open artworks, open hardware, Open government and more.

The goal of the 10th International Conference on Open Source Systems (OSS 2014) is to provide an international forum where a diverse community of professionals from academia, industry and public sector, and diverse FOSS initiatives can come together to share research findings and practical experiences. The conference is also meant to provide information to practitioners, identify directions for further research, and to be an ongoing platform for technology transfer, no matter which form of FOSS is being pursued.

Given the widespread diffusion of mobile devices and the relevance of Open Source Operating Systems for such devices – not only Android, but also Sailfish, Ubuntu, and others; the 10th edition of the Conference will provide a specific attention to this area of Open Source, targeting their architectures, design choices, programming languages, etc.
