The fundamental challenges and an overview of an ongoing collaborative research project are presented. Through a conceptual model for open source usage in company contexts we characterise how companies engage with open source and elaborate on how the fundamental challenges can be effectively addressed through open source usage in company contexts. %B Open Source Systems: Towards Robust Practices 13th International Conference on Open Source Systems %S IFIP Advances in Information and Communication Technology %I Springer %V 496 %P 80-88 %8 05/2017 %U https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-319-57735-7_9 %R 10.1007/978-3-319-57735-7_9
