In this paper, a staged model for classifying the organizational adoption of OSS is proposed, based upon a critical review of existing staged adoption models and factors identified from OSS adoption literature. Innovations in the proposed model include: defined transition pathways between stages, additional stages and a decomposition of cessation of use into four distinct pathways. }, isbn = {978-3-319-39225-7}, doi = {10.1007/978-3-319-39225-7_10}, url = {http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-39225-7_10}, author = {Murphy, Stephen and Cox, Sharon}, editor = {Kevin Crowston and Hammouda, Imed and Lundell, Bj{\"o}rn and Gregorio Robles and Gamalielsson, Jonas and Juho Lindman} }
